I had already forgotten about this beautiful project by Barbie.
As a mom of 3 girls I need to keep reminding myself about the DREAM GAP.
And somehow I feel that I want to remind you about it too.
“The Barbie Dream Gap Project is a global mission dedicated to closing the gap by challenging gender stereotypes and helping undo the biases that hold girls back from reaching their full potential.” 💕
What is fascinating to know is that the Dream Gap is not so much about young girls lacking motivation and self-confidence, but about the world around them. (At least this is what research shows.)
Even though things have gotten better for women, stereotypes and societal biases still exist.
And.. often the challenges and judgement come from other women..
Let’s be part of the solution and not the problem! Closing the Dream Gap is up to all of us!
Let’s not forget that our true strengths and power lie in being kind and being generous.
Just reminding to all the women out there, let’s be there for one another and let’s support one another.
💕Let’s believe in one another.
💕Let’s see the success of other women as not a threat but opening possibilities for us too.
If they can do it, we can do it!!
