Is Your Well Dry (or Frozen)?
At times, I think we all feel this way.
Have you ever felt stuck, lost, or uninspired?
You’re not alone!
The busy, demanding, always-connected, and instant society we live in can take a toll on anyone.
So much has changed. The older you are, the harder it might feel to understand, accept, and adapt to the fast-paced world of today.
Everything feels so different now. I still think back to my teenage years when I had to walk a few blocks to the nearest phone booth just to call a friend and agree on a time and place to meet.
Once it was agreed, it got done. There were no last-minute changes or big delays. There was clarity, and there was space — mind space for noticing, for reflection, for free thinking.
Not like today.
Today, you’re constantly engaged. Your attention is hitchhiked before you even realize it. Emails, phone calls, WhatsApp chats, the irresistible pull to scroll through your social media feed — it never seems to stop.
And if you’re no longer a teenager but a full-grown adult with adult responsibilities, it’s no wonder your well can start to run dry.
It can happen that, amidst it all, you become exhausted and overwhelmed, losing track of what matters most.
